Friday morning Thomas was woken up by his Mother. She pulled the coverlet off the bed and told him to get dressed. He sat on the edge of the bed, then slid off the mattress, put his feet on the floor and stood up. His underwear promptly fell off and draped themselves over his feet. He looked up at his Mother in alarm. She smiled, went to the dresser and returned with a smaller set of underwear, a tee-shirt and some pants. She told him to get on the edge of the bed and she helped him into the underwear. Thomas thought that the underwear looked strange, they were thicker than normal underwear with padding in the front.
