Kelly continued to run and eventually burst out of the school and into the near woods. Her mother was called when she couldn’t be found. Catherine was enraged at her daughter’s treatment, but she was more concerned about her safety. Jessica even came to look. Ultimately, it was Samantha who found her, knowing that Kelly had a favorite tree she hid under in the forest. She was found curled into a ball crying her eyes out and saying how it wasn’t fair and that she wasn’t a high schooler. She got hugs all around and a tearful Samantha wouldn’t let her go.
