Well the boys got slippered in PE a bit I think but other than that there was no CP in the classrooms at all that I knew of. Girls in theory could be caned, apparently on the hands, but it just didn’t seem to happen, perhaps the Headmistress preferred to slipper bottoms rather than cane hands! CP for the girls was a bit of a token gesture I think, unlike the boys who got proper “six of the best” canings. The Headmistress was in reality the deputy Head of the school but outside of lessons the school was almost two schools (and had been up until about 10 years before) and the girls tended to think of her as “our” Head.
